Raquel B. Pizano-Hazama, LCSW is a bilingual-bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified NeuroMeditation Institute Instructor. Raquel obtained her Master’s Degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She owns a private practice in Monrovia, California and she is the founder of Mindful Behavioral Health Services.
Raquel is a psychotherapist and has nearly 35 years of clinical experience providing a wide range of psychological services and/or treatment for adults, youth, families and couples who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stress, and academic/work/life issues. She is skilled in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and NeuroMeditation. She also integrates other research based treatment interventions.
Her clinical experience has taken place in a variety of outpatient settings ranging from community based mental health services, convalescent home consultation services, intern supervisor, and Team supervisor for a school based outreach program and CalWorks Services. She has been in private practice for more than 25 years.
Over the last several years, Raquel has further explored other treatment interventions outside the traditional clinical work by working on her NeuroMeditation Instructor certificate through the NeuroMeditation Institute in Oregon. She believes that a meditation practice not only changes the brain in profound ways, but it provides the individual with practical tools and techniques to improve the quality of their life and happiness. She further believes in a loving approach for her client’s wellbeing by integrating empathy and compassion in her work.
Raquel is expanding her services through upcoming NeuronMeditation/therapy groups at Mindful Behavioral Health Services to serve the local San Gabriel Valley community
